Dambulla Cave Temple is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka and is over 2,000 years old. The temple consists of five main caves filled with statues and paintings, including more than 150 Buddha statues. The cave ceilings are beautifully decorated with colorful ancient murals that depict religious scenes. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the temple is built inside a massive rock and also offers stunning views from the top.
